Betty Kluesner shares this note about William from the St Charles Daily Cosmos-Mirror - 17 Aug 1917,
"Wm. R. Kleasner Victim of misfortune Thursday Night -- Fire Seen From Here -- The large barn with its contents of hay, corn and other valuables at the home of Wm. R. Kleasner, near Black Walnut, was burned Thursday night. The origin of the fire is unknown. The fire was plainly seen from this city."

This census shows the following family members: Males: 1 under 5, 2 over 30 & under 40.
Females: 1 over 30 & under 40.
I have my grandmother's old address book and she lists Matilda's last name as O'Neil and she was also from Tyrone County, Ireland.
[11320] The entry for Andrew White shows him born in Ireland in 1800, his wife as Mrs. Matilda White, born Jo Daviess Co., Illinois in 1807, their marriage as 1827 in Illinois. It lists their three daughters, Martha J. born 1842 in Illinois, Mary b. 1844 in Illinois, and
Her mother's parents owned what for Altheim was quite a good piece of property at Hauptstraze 27. The parents, Philipp Schodt, born 1738, and Anna Margarethe Schodt, (married 1760) had two sons. Johann Martin and Johann Philipp who married someone from outside Altheim. The daughter, Anna Margarethe Schodt, stayed in her parents home and married Johann Adam Knoll from Klein Umstadt. In 1804 the property consisted of a two story house (that still stands today and has an arched gate), a barn and stable, on fourth Morgen (a measure of land six to nine tenths of an acre) garden, thirty four Morgen fields, three and three-fourths Morgen meadows, value of the property 200 florins. In 1848 the property was passed on to the son (inherited) who was again called Johann Adam Knoll, born August 29, 1813, and married Katherine Elizabeth Appell on June 12, 1836 (first wife). The son, Johann Nikolaus Knoll I took over the house and farm in 1871. His son was Johann Nikolaus Knoll II. His oldest daughter, Anna Marie Knoll, born February 5, 1817 married the farmer, Friedrich Heinrich Funck, who died at an advanced age, and passed the property on to the Hargert family. The farm yard had 617 sq. meters and the meadow 428 sq. M.

[41] Wilbur died in 1923 soon after they moved to New Mexico. He was a beautiful talented young man just like his father. When his sister, Helen, was in her eighties, she said to me one day, "Wouldn't it have been wonderful if Wilbur had lived?" This comment tells us as much about the atmosphere in Wes and Adie's home as it does about Wilbur. Even after 70 years Helen loved him and missed him.
