Sophia is the author of "The Nicklas Family History." She diligently gathered information on all the known descendants of John George (1806 - 1884) and Anna Catherine Betsch Nicklas ( 1809-1889). She pursued her research when she was in her 80's and 90's in the days before computers made it so much more manageable.
Sophia was a teacher for 40 years in Oklahoma City. She was also a traveling Technical Science teacher, a gardener, and a naturalist.
