He was often styled Sergt. Thomas. Sergt. Thomas was admitted to the church at Charlestown, Feb. 21, 1634; was in Woburn as early as 1643; was taxed there, 1645; was selectman of Woburn, 1660, and repeatedly afterwards of the committee for dividing the common lands in Woburn; he was one of "the right proprietors,'' chosen Mar. 28, 1667; and also of the General Courts' Committee appointed for the same purpose in 1668.
